The Smoke That Thunders
Victoria Falls
One of the Seven Natural Wonders
Where the Zambezi Meets the Sky

Victoria Falls — known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, "The Smoke That Thunders" — is one of the most spectacular natural wonders on Earth. The mighty Zambezi River spans 1.7 kilometres before plunging over 100 metres into the gorge below, creating a curtain of spray visible from 30 kilometres away.

But Zimbabwe offers far more than the famous falls. From the vast game-rich plains of Hwange to the pristine wilderness of Mana Pools along the Zambezi — this is a land of dramatic landscapes and legendary wildlife, waiting to be explored.

About Zimbabwe
Victoria Falls

One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The falls span 1.7 km and plunge over 100 metres into the Zambezi gorge, creating a permanent rainbow and a cloud of spray visible for kilometres. Activities include helicopter flights, bungee jumping, sunset cruises, and the famous Devil's Pool (seasonal, Zambia side).

Hwange National Park

Zimbabwe's largest and most famous game reserve — over 14,600 km² of wilderness. Home to vast herds of elephant, healthy populations of wild dog and lion, and over 400 bird species. The park's network of natural and pumped waterholes draws spectacular concentrations of wildlife, especially in the dry season.

Mana Pools

A UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Zambezi floodplain. One of Africa's premier walking and canoe safari destinations — where elephants wander through camp and wild dogs hunt in the golden afternoon light. Mana Pools is widely regarded as one of the most authentic safari experiences in Africa.
